Recently, I’ve begun exploring animal subjects in my artwork. This lion was one of my first pieces featuring an animal as the primary focal point. I’ve always been drawn to what lions represent—symbols of strength, leadership, and courage, celebrated everywhere from nature documentaries to classic films like The Wizard of Oz. I’m fascinated by their duality: calm and unbothered most of the time, yet capable of astonishing fierceness when provoked or on the hunt. That contrast between serenity and raw power is what inspired this piece.
